XDA member faryaab has compiled CM7 RC4 for the Xperia X1. This custom ROM is called “F1 CM7″ and from a quick glance at the list of what works and what doesn’t, it seems to be quite usable. It also seems quite simple to use and reminds me of running Android from the SD card on the HD2.

I know, the X1 is sort of an old phone but it’s up to the community to keep phones like this functioning and up to date, even when the manufacturers and carriers stop supporting them.
