Verizon iPhone 4 owners report less dropped calls than those on AT&T

The verdict is out – well, according to the latest survey results released by ChangeWave anyway. From a sample of over 4,000 iPhone 4 users in the US, more AT&T users have reported calls dropping when compared to the iPhone 4 users on Verizon (4.8% vs. 1.8% respectively). This looks like Verizon’s CDMA network really is an improvement over AT&T’s GSM network for the iPhone 4. However it is noted that these are relatively early stages of the iPhone 4 on Verizon – after all, AT&T has had the phone for a longer period, therefore have a larger amount of iPhone 4 users that are contributing to AT&T’s network congestion. Maybe once Verizon’s 3G network gets loaded with more iPhone 4 users, the results could tell a different story but for now, it looks like Verizon is the clear winner. How many of you have switched over to Verizon from AT&T for the iPhone 4 and has your phone’s connection improved drastically since then?
